To strengthen the everyday foundations communities need to learn, worship, access clean water and live with greater security and dignity.
About Bidaya
Built around responsibility.
Bidaya is a Muslim-founded humanitarian organisation focused on practical assistance, thoughtful delivery and what happens after the first intervention.

Our mission
Strengthen the foundations people rely on every day.
We work alongside communities to support learning, worship, clean water and greater household stability—with care for safe delivery, local operation and long-term use.
Communities with access to practical infrastructure and support that continues working beyond the first intervention.
Our founder
The organisation comes first. The founder story sits behind it.
Daanish Masood Ahmed founded Bidaya in 2024. His work across education, artificial intelligence, law and entrepreneurship shaped the organisation's emphasis on useful systems, transparent evidence and continuation.
A short note from DaanishWhat we stand for
Principles that shape the work.
Amanah
Resources entrusted to us carry a responsibility: spend carefully, document clearly and never confuse good intentions with good delivery.
Dignity
Assistance should respect privacy, agency and the humanity of the people receiving it.
Service
Need comes before publicity.
Local knowledge
Projects should be shaped with the people who will live with them.
Practicality
We favour useful, maintainable solutions over prestige.
Continuity
Where possible, every project begins with a plan for what happens after delivery.
Transparency
We distinguish plans, commitments, completed work and verified outcomes.
Our identity
Faith informs why we serve. Need determines who we serve.
Bidaya is rooted in Islamic principles of amanah, service, stewardship, sincerity and justice. Those principles ask us to use resources carefully and treat people with dignity.
Food, water, housing assistance and other humanitarian support are based on need. Assistance is not conditional on faith, attendance at religious activity, publicity or photography.

Local delivery
Partnership is part of the method.
Bidaya intends to work with appropriate community representatives, educators, engineers, operators, contractors and local organisations. Roles, permissions and responsibilities should be documented—not assumed.
Local knowledge is not a consultation added at the end. It helps define the problem, choose the right intervention and establish who will live with and maintain the result.
Read our accountability approachGovernance
Credibility should come from evidence, not borrowed badges.
Bidaya will publish verified legal, governance and financial details when they are available. Until then, the site does not invent registration numbers, approvals, institutional partners or accounts.
Project records are designed to separate proposed work from approved, funded, delivered and verified work. The same discipline applies to organisational claims.
