Safeguarding

Safety and dignity are part of delivery.

People should be safer because Bidaya is present—not exposed to avoidable risk, pressure, intrusion or retaliation.

Our public commitment

Protect people before protecting appearances.

Safeguarding applies to children, vulnerable adults, community members, staff, contractors, volunteers, media and anyone representing Bidaya.

Assistance is not conditional on publicity, photography, religious participation or silence about a concern.

01

Children and vulnerable adults

Use appropriate consent, supervision, conduct and reporting arrangements.

02

Staff conduct

Clear boundaries and no exploitation, harassment, coercion or abuse of power.

03

Photography and consent

Consent is voluntary and separate from access to assistance. Sensitive details stay private.

04

Confidentiality

Share safeguarding information only with people who need it to respond safely.

05

Reporting concerns

Provide a safe route to report concerns without affecting assistance.

06

Responsible response

Prioritise immediate safety, lawful action and protection from retaliation.
